ULN2003AN,HIGH-VOLTAGE HIGH-CURRENT DARLINGTON TRANSISTOR ARRAY
500-mA-Rated Collector Current (Single Output)
High-Voltage Outputs … 50 V
Output Clamp Diodes
Inputs Compatible With Various Types of Logic
Relay-Driver Applications
ULN2003AN are high-voltage, high-current Darlington transistor arrays. Each consists of seven npn Darlington pairs that feature high-voltage outputs
with common-cathode clamp diodes for switching inductive loads. The collector-current rating of a single Darlington pair is 500 mA. The Darlington pairs can be paralleled for higher current capability. Applications include relay drivers, hammer drivers, lamp drivers, display drivers (LED and gas discharge), line drivers, and logic buffers.
If you want to do an experiment with ULN2003AN to learn about its working principle and performance, you can follow these steps:
1。Obtain a ULN2003AN circuit board, as well as other required components such as resistors, capacitors, power supply, oscilloscope, etc.
2.Assemble the ULN2003AN circuit board according to the circuit diagram and make sure that all components are connected correctly.
3.Connect ULN2003A input to the load you want to drive, and connect the output to a voltmeter or oscilloscope to observe the output voltage.
4.Use low voltage input (such as 5V) to drive the load through ULN2003A and observe whether ULN2003A can effectively drive the load, and record the values of input voltage and output current.
5.You can conduct different experiments by changing the size of the load resistor and the input voltage.
6.As ULN2003A is a high current driver, be sure to pay attention to safety issues during the experiment to ensure that the circuit board and components are safe to handle.
In summary, experiments with ULN2003A can deepen understanding of the principle and characteristics of high current driving.
